As long as we're delving into ancient history

McKay and I took a three day trip into Dallas last August (I know, we live in Dallas. But you can't walk leisurely around the arts district at midnight with a then three year old and one year old.) Our awesome friends took our babies for a few days, and we had an AWESOME time.
All mine

Sushi!
Ohhhh, sore feet after walking miles around downtown after dinner in four inch heels. These shoes were not made for walking.

Recovered. Why is this underlined?
This was so fun to see our city like normal, non-parent people, and also just to get away from responsibility for a few days. Thanks Dallas! Seriously, what's with the underlining?

Halloween!

Hiccup and Tinkerbell ready to hit the town!
My awesome grocery bags - turned lanterns all lit up.
Our art: T for Tyler and a spider on a web.
Ward Halloween Party=sweet!

Happy (belated) Halloween!

A Halloween Birthday

We're baaa-aaaaack...for now, at least :)

So, four months late is better than never, right? Tyler turned FOUR (I still can't believe it) this last October, and we had a spectacular Halloween birthday party in our backyard with a bunch of his costumed friends.

We did give them fair warning...

It was so much fun, and I am being super lame just posting pictures without telling all about it because, let's be honest, I stayed up til 3am the night before finishing the treats and decorations, so I can't really remember all of it. Either way, I'm pretty proud of myself for pulling together some sort of blog post, and judging from the pictures (thanks, Eve!!) we look like we had a good time.

We love you, Bubba!

We are blogging failures! In the meantime, here are our January favorites:

Tyler's new shape puzzles:

This waffle box. Or, rather, Jamie's easy chair.

And our latest addition to the family: Pierre! (Dad: He's alive!!) This thing followed us home from Goodwill. It earns its keep by singing "Hot, Hot, Hot" whenever we pass it, successfully freaking us out at night. And in the morning when Tyler shoves it in my face while I'm still sleeping. Welcome to the family, Pierre!
