California Trip #3: Disneyland!

Our last trip to Disneyland was just past Tyler's 2nd birthday, and it was spectacular!

This trip at 3 years old....

We still had fun. We just had to find out what Tyler wanted to do.

For example, Tyler did NOT want to:

Ride the rides.

Or get too close to Buzz or any other large characters.

However, we found he DID want to:

Chase this boy's bubble gun bubbles.

WATCH the rides. For an hour.

Run around in this water play area in California Adventure. We were here for 90 minutes!

Miss Annie Skyy loved it too, but just watching her crazy cousin get soaked.

I think Tyler's favorite part of the day was spending time with Grandpa Eatough. They watched the Pixar parade together, went on rides together (that he refused to go on with me, by the way) and ate lots and lots-

-and LOTS of kettle corn. Grandpa made sure Tyler was actually able to fall asleep clutching the remains. What a pair.

Oh, well. We are now experts on navigating Disneyland with three-year-olds.

California Trip #2: Pumpkin Patch

Who knew a Petting Zoo could be so danger-ridden?

Beware of the ill-tempered goats!
and surly sheep!
They jump Grandpas,
corner three year olds,

and eat baby socks.

Yes, they ATE JAMIE'S SOCK.

Actually nibbled it off her foot, chewed it up and swallowed it down.

(Towards the end, the goats seemed increasingly bent on seperating me and Tyler, so we didn't stay long.)

Tyler spotted the flag atop the hay bale castle, so he had to scale it and point it out to the world. Kristen joined in the fun.

Also, do you see the fake-worn out spots in her jeans? They are all Texas-shaped. I think she wants to move out here with us.

Our best attempt at a family picture. Do you know, we don't have a single picture with all four of us yet?

Lots of Eatoughs!

We helped Grandma and Grandpa pick out pumpkins, and harrassed Kristen and Richard at their respective posts (they both have afterschool jobs there). Fun times!

3

How have three years gone by so fast?

This boy is silly,

But he owns our hearts.

Happy Birthday, Bubbas!

Texas State Fair

You can't live in Dallas and not go to the Texas State Fair! McKay and I took the babies a few weeks ago, and we had a fabulous time:

A nice lady by the entrance gave us coupons to get in for $1 each (instead of $15!), so we had lots of extra spending money to try fun fried foods, like Fried Frito Pie, Fried Lemonade, and Fried Smores.

We had a good time, even though a sheep ate Tyler's paper cup at the petting zoo.
