Story Time!

This week, Tyler and I discovered Story Time at the Provo Library! Two college-aged guys put on a story time/puppet show/singing time for toddlers every morning in a tiny amphitheater (about three steps high) in the children's section of the library. It's quite the production.

Tyler and his friend Kimball, transfixed by the spectacle.

The Story-Time Genie, who tells you what the story of the day will be.

These were the "Boith-day Beahs." (Complete with terrible Brooklyn accents.)

Afterwards, Tyler wasn't sure if he wanted to read books or keep watching the two guys clean up. He compromised by sitting with a pile of books by his friends, and watching at the same time. I think he was still trying to decide what in the world just happened.

Happy Inauguration Day!

You know, I don't agree with some of President Obama's policies, but I think he may be the hero Americans need right now.

Hinckley's Favorite Past-time...

Everyone's trying to pinch pennies and stretch dollars lately because of the economy and rising prices for everything. No worries, everyone, I've got the perfect solution:

Yard sales!

My wonderful mother-in-law got me hooked on yard saling when we were in Texas. Some people are turned off by the idea of getting things used, and that's fine if you can afford all new things, but if you can't, you've got to decide what you love more: new things or saving money. It's really just a big treasure hunt, and it comes with bonus features too: bargaining! This is so much fun, I can't believe how long I've paid full price for things.

Here's a few of my favorite buys.

New set of Kingdom and the Crown books: $5

Cozy Coupe: $5

Some other things were a super nice snowsuit for Tyler ($1), a nice, sturdy set of normal comfy couches ($25), and a jogging stroller, a crib and two desks (free). It's so much fun! There's some going on now, even here in snowy Provo. Get out there and save some money!

Snow Walk!

Tyler and I got sick of being cooped up in the house, so we braved the snow and went for a walk down our sidewalk:
