Halloween Pictures Are Here!

So we're blog-slackers! We've been pretty busy the last few weeks with getting our contract sold (but we did!). Here's the Halloween rundown.

We kept it pretty low key this year, and went to a few Halloween parties. In celebration of a magnificent yard sale find (a pair of adorable toddler sized cowboy boots), Tyler was a cowboy.

He spent half the day discarding accessories, like his hat, and his cute little sheriff badge:

As a stake, we planned a Halloween Primary party, and I think it was a hit! We had trick-or-treating stations set up in the gym (which Tyler LOVED the concept of: run up to the girl manning the station and demand "bites")

Here's some of our friends from the ward who came to party with us:

We also had a Ghost Hunt, where some of the other girls in the stake wrapped suckers up in napkins to looks like ghosts, and stuck them all in the ground outside, and let the kids lose on them:

Tyler got a bit distracted in the middle of the hunt:

A big thanks to everyone who helped with the party! We also went to the ward Halloween party, which was lots of fun. After all those parties, we decided to stay cozy at home Halloween night and have fun handing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters.

It was a fabulous holiday, but Halloween is one of those holidays that's sort of exhausting, but we are definitely getting geared up for Thanksgiving, which is in California this year!

Hope everyone else's Halloween was fun too!

Halloween

McKay and his Quailman.

My monstrosity...bwahaha.

Yar!

We decided Tyler was a little young for trick-or-treating, so we went to the Provo River Halloween Cruise instead, which, despite its corny reputation, was fun for a Halloween night out! We rode on an engine-less boat (the captain pulled the boat down the river with ropes that were strung all along it) with about thirty other people. The banks of the river were decorated with all kinds of jack-o-lanterns, carved upside-down so we could see the reflections in the water right-side-up. Then we got attacked by a pirate, who told a bunch of terrible pirate jokes (think anything that could sound like "arrrr,"), and at the end, our captain told us the Legend of Sleepy Hallow in a very scary voice. All in all, it was pretty silly, but a fun thing to do. Tyler loved the pirate and all the jack-o-lanterns, and I bet he enjoyed it more than he would have liked trick-or-treating.

How was everyone else's Halloweens?

What a Week!

This is a little late in posting, but man, when you see everything we did, you'll know why! Be prepared for a zoo of pictures and videos. First off, and most importantly, it was Tyler's first birthday on the 19th! He got tons of presents (thank you so much everyone!) and too much cake, of course. We had Uncle Patrick and soon-to-be Aunt Michelle over to make it a party!

Wearing his new pajamas and checking out his walker. Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa Eatough!

This cat is one of the winners from Tyler's presents so far, and the reason why is that it makes a loud, obnoxious meowing sound, and Tyler loves it. Thanks, Kendy.

Helping Daddy build his walker.

Uncle Patrick and Michelle. Isn't she cute? We love her already.

Then, on Friday, we went to our ward's Halloween party, and Tyler dressed up as a monkey. He didn't mind it too much, but I think he wanted to carry it around more than he wanted to wear it. I dressed up as a mouse, and Tyler was quite enamoured of the tail.

All our friends in costume.

Tyler got a hold of someone's light saber at the party, and it was pretty much amazing. McKay thinks he looks like an Ewok in this picture.

Saturday was my birthday, and McKay took me to Tucano's, an amazing Brazilian restaurant, and then he had the waiters sing to me in Portugese. I smile a lot and cover my mouth when I'm embarrassed, so see if you can tell in this movie.

That's all for now. Whew!
