Home!

Tyler and I got to visit my family back in California these last few weeks, which was wonderful. We got to visit my sister Lauren in San Diego for a few days, my Aunt Joy in Murrietta, and all our friends and family in Yucaipa. It was fun, but we're so glad to be back home with McKay. We were able to fly back home instead of driving this time, and if you have an 11 month old, wiggly and talkative little boy, flying is definitely the way to go. I ended up getting a seat for Tyler next to mine, and he had fun battling the seat belt for the first little while. But after an hour and a half of coralling him in our little section, retreiving cookies and binkies from behind our seats, stopping him from grabbing the hair of the people in front of us and from pushing the flight attendant button, I was ready to call it quits. Lucky for me, McKay hadn't seen Tyler for two weeks, so he was still amused by Tyler's antics.

Tyler, Lauren and me in San Diego, in Seaport Village, a really cute little outdoor shopping center by the beach.

This cat, Jack-Jack/Atticus (his name is still undecided) and Tyler were inseperable the entire time we were in California. Not even water could keep them apart.

Tyler, in the middle of yelling at me to unbuckle his seatbelt. Such a trooper.

McKay picking us up at the airport. Daddy is always the fun one.

Sounds like you had a fun trip, although it is always nice to get back home. I can't believe how big Tyler is getting! It's crazy that his 1st birthday is in a few weeks.

Katie - I feel for you with the airplane rides...it is NOT fun!! And changing a poopy diaper on top of the tiny toilet seat in the tiny bathroom isn't fun, either! But I'm glad you had fun with your family. I bet McKay was more than happy to get you guys back. Kendy :)
