Bellies

26 Weeks:

31 Weeks:

Here we are right at seven months! Last time I posted a belly picture, I was 21 weeks and hoping that I wouldn't be doubling my size. Unfortunately, I've already done that and we still have nine weeks to go. It's a sad indicator when you start looking longingly at "skinny" pictures from ten weeks ago. However, I do have this picture from being seven months pregnant with Tyler to compare, and I have to say that my current self is doing a little better at not eating at McDonald's everyday.

Blech.

Still Alive

My apologies for being MIA the last few weeks, especially to some Grandma's and Great-Grandma's who have had to resort to Facebook to communicate with me. (How embarassing...)

We are moved into our new home at Sutton Place in Dallas, and it is cute and darling with a fireplace and two bathrooms and a porch, and big enough for two kids and will hold us over until we find a real, live house. No pictures yet, though. Who even knows where our camera stuff is, and I haven't even ventured outside to take pictures anyway.

Baby Girl Hinckley is progressing just splendidly (30 weeks!), but still has no name. Suggestions are welcome, because we are drawing a big fat blank with this one.

Anyway, we are still alive, but any pending updates will be limited, because they will be coming from the open access computers in the pool clubhouse, and I feel like a big nerd blogging from them.

Sugar and Spice, and all that's nice...

...that's what my little girl is made of.

From your head to your toes

You're not much, goodness knows

But you're so precious to me

Cute as can be, baby of mine.

Bellies

As promised:

8 weeks:

17 weeks:

21 weeks:
So here we are, 21 weeks on Valentine's Day. Halfway there! Hopefully I won't get twice as big as this!

I am officially in my very largest non-maternity pants, and they are getting tight. I can't decide whether I should buy the next size up or just get maternity pants. The problem is that with every size I go up, the pants get longer and longer, and I am not getting any taller. I'm already double rolling the cuffs as it is, so this could be an issue.

My sisters and I all share a big box of maternity clothes. Each time someone uses it they add their new purchases to it, so it is quite large and quite fashionable (someone has added a pair or maternity Sevens in the last year, and I am quite excited about that). My sister Robin has it at the moment, and I suppose she's got priority, being 36 weeks pregnant and all.

So for now, hello size 10.

I have a problem...

I have become incredibly lazy.

Maybe it's from being pregnant, from moving back into the in-laws house and assuming they will be my mommy, or if it's a mix of both, but I have really slid into non-productivity. Tyler and I spend our days at the park if we're lucky (it's one block away), on the couch if we're not. Thomas the Tank Engine rules our lives, and when I can't listen to the same episodes anymore, we get more from the library.

apologies:

1. Hinckleys: I'm sorry I don't always do my dishes, and that sometimes I leave my smelly running shoes around the house, and that I hog the computers to veg out on facebook, and that I eat lots of ice cream during the day so there's no Blue Bell left for the breadwinners.

2. McKay, I'm sorry I get bored and come distract you from your job search several times a day, driving you out of the house to the library or some other quiet place with Wi-Fi.

3. Eatoughs, I'm sorry I'm a bad phone-answerer, and a worse caller-backer. It will get better, I hope :)

4. Kristen, I'm sorry your present is two months late. I'm stuffing the box with awesome extra things (not food things) but it's on its way, I swear.

remedies:

1. Present will be sent out THIS WEEK. No exceptions.

2. I will talk to at least one Eatough each week.

3. Projects! My mom keeps telling me that Eatoughs need structure, or we just wander around aimlessly. So I'll be experimenting with square foot gardening this spring. I've got the other women in the house excited about it already, and Marie actually has a degree in Horticulture, so we can't fail.

If I don't blog for another month or so, you can assume I am busy gardening and being a respectable human being.

Or that I have slid back into a Thomas and ice cream induced haze.

PS: I still can't find my camera cords, but rest assured, we are taking pregnant pictures.

Today was our second doctor's appointment for Baby #2. Twelve weeks this week, and we were ready to hear a heartbeat!

We talked to Dr. Jacobs for a little bit about our cruise and scuba diving. Then he got out his cool little heartbeat reader and his sub temperature tummy jelly. McKay had the camcorder rolling. But after a minute or so of all three of us listening to silence, Dr. Jacobs frowned. Then he said the battery was low on this one, and went to grab another battery. He was back in a minute with a fully charged heartbeat reader. But after a minute or so of skating around on my tummy, there was still just static. I was starting to feel panicked, and McKay's smile had disappeared. Our doctor referred us to the ultrasound part of the clinic right away. We had to wait to get in for about 15 minutes. We tried to read the office magazines, so we wouldn't have to think too much. Finally, they called us back into the ultrasound room. The nice lady in there brought out her warmed tummy jelly, and flipped on her monitor.

Baby Hinckley is fine! It's just fond of bending over in ways that make it difficult to read a heartbeat. We were so relieved to know everything was okay! It was too soon to tell a gender, but let me tell you, this baby is active. It was jumping all over the screen, flapping its little arms and swimming around. The ultrasound lady said it was holding its own aerobics class, but I think it was just excited to see us. It waved at us, too.

We showed these pictures to Tyler, and he thinks the first one is a monster. He kept roaring at it. It does sort of look like a skeleton face :)

We have some of the swimming recorded, but I can't find the cords in all our packing. Maybe once we're in Texas I'll try to post it, because it's really cute.

Also, I think this will be our last post while still in Utah, as all this packing and cleaning is wearing me out. See y'all in God's country!

Merry Christmas, Tyler

Baby #2 is gonna rock your world.

Also, I apologize for being a lump of a mother for the last three months, but at least we got to watch a lot of movies, right?
