Bluebonnets 2012

As per our new tradition, we headed south to Ennis for the annual Bluebonnet Festival, and as usual, I want to live there now:
Can you imagine driving past that everyday on your way to work?

Until next year, Ennis!

What new pictures?

After this posts, I will vehemently deny that these pictures were taken recently; I will never admit that these are, in fact, not our real wedding pictures. I wasn't going to blog about it, but I just love these pictures so much, and I need to share them with the world.

Our "real" wedding pictures weren't so great; they kind of sucked, actually. So we decided to redo them, specifically this last month, because:

a) I now have my wedding dress with me

b) I now fit back into it, which may not always be true (though I can hope :-)

c) We won a contest for worst wedding pictures, and the prize was a redo with professional photographers!

Here are some of my favorites:

The rest are here:

You are welcome to look; I've spent so much time looking at them, I'm going to wear out the Walgreen's website.

Family Pictures

I know we just took family pictures last fall, but I love them, so we got them done again! We went to Vivian park up the Provo Canyon with an up-and-coming photography company called Indie Pindie. We got some really cute shots of us by the old railroad and rail cars.

You can see Tyler holding a goldball here. If you look close, it's in almost every shot. He would NOT put it down!

I love this shot of Tyler's face. He looks so sneaky!

We even made it on her blog! You can see our famous faces at

Family Pictures

This week, we went and had some pictures taken, which was so much fun for Tyler. They had tons of little props for kids to play with during picture-taking, and Tyler was smitten with this car. This was one of the only pictures of him on it that he didn't have a huge, crazy smile on his face from excitement. Don't worry, Grandma's, copies of the pictures are on the way!

McKay and I had had another project this week. I saw this really cool home decor idea on a morning show. You take any picture that you like and use it at a website that blows pictures up for you, and then it gives you the pages in adobe photo shop form, and you print them out yourself. You end up with a HUGE picture (up to 20 meters in length, if you want), and we put them in a bunch of 8 X 10 frames. This is what we ended up with:

It looks pretty cool in person. We feel pretty artsy :) If anyone wants to do it too, the website that does it is http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/wizard.gas?Phase=1

Hello from California!

Tyler and I have been in California for a week, and we've been loving it! We were able to be here for Tyler's new cousin, Maddie's blessing, along with everyone else from the Eatough side of the family! The grandkids, Adam, Tyler and Maddie got to pose for lots of fun pictures together, of course. It was so wonderful to have our whole family together for a little while (minus McKay and Russell, so sad). We love our family to pieces!

The whole Eatough clan (minus a few husbands)

All the sistas!
We're so cute, I couldn't help adding another.
